i just watched wristcutters. it was really amazing. to think that there could be a separate after-life for suicidals. zia was kindof annoying, but whatever, he was a good character. i think the part about it that i liked best, though, was that it managed to have a kindof strange story that coud maybe not turn out to be a good, upholding movie, but in the end did.

i think i should really try go to sleep. i have goddamn insomnia. ok, good fucking night.

the duchess of devonshire had such tragic dramatic life. the oppression of women in that period completely broke her. keira knightly (is it just me, or did she get even prettier?!) portrays her well in The Duchess.

sunday was my 14th birthday. i ate cream puffs and cous cous. i got a camera and a belt. then i saw my friends and we goofed around. i had a very euphoric feeling that day. also, i graduated 8th grade. i mannaged to pass (thanks to my polaroid report), and dont have to go to summer school. congradulations me.

anyways, im reading Tweak. its about a meth addict going through a relapse and his expiriances. its kinda hard to read, but its pretty cool. on to other things, i just saw Hangover. it was funny as fuck. i mean, how cool is mr. chow? i think very cool.

im taking photography classes in SF, as ive mentioned before. its a three week course and the shows next friday (i think). im looking foreward to it, man, its gonna be bitchin'. ive been learning all these legit factoids about apature and shit like that. then we go on shoots out in the open and well, shoot. lately i shoot people, pun not inteanded. random hobos make kickass subjects, so you know.

i am taking digital SLR classes in SF. its pretty kick ass. today we took the bus to chinatown and took pictures of all the shops and dead ducks in the windows. can someone tell me why everything smells like fish down there? that last sentence could be taken several ways, by the way. the bus ride there and back was pretty crazy, but still everyone had fun. i know i did. anyways, i absolutely adore Juergen Teller's photography. hes probably one of my favorite photographers right now along with William Eggleston and Sarah Moon. its so contrasty and has a very high exposure. all in all, very cool, very chic.
